The theme for the proposal is “Take Me Whichever Way the Wind Blows” and uses 8 local winds from the 7 continents permanently inhabited by man as inspiration. Each wind is represented by a different color combination.
A site-specific design, the cylindrical form created by the width of the stripes echoes the undulating perforated steel on the walls. Each colorway incorporates white, dark blue, and apple green to create unity and to tie in with the interior colors.
This proposal was awarded 5th place out of 101 entries received by the commissioning body. This project is not realized.
