Opening up your energy level

Have you ever felt perfectly happy one moment, then totally stressed or fearful the next? And did you notice what happened to your life force in that instant? Did you notice your spirit-body, your aura, contract? This is what happens when we feel stress or fear - we literally contract in upon ourselves, and in so doing we also squeeze the cords filling us with life energy. It's like closing a water valve so that the inflow of water is slowed to a trickle. Or stopped altogether.

As a result, we feel listless or exhausted, and more often than not, irritable. Continually contracting in upon ourselves and closing the energy supply valve is also how we reach so-called 'burn-out'. It's like a battery that is not allowed to recharge - or cannot recharge fast enough - to keep up with the energy ouput. In other words, the demand is greater than the supply.

In giving ourselves time off to relax and play (nurturance), we open up the energy supply valve to maximum and allow our bodies to re-charge with energy. And so we also re-connect with our higher selves and the divine. The same goes for living in love - the valve is completely open so that we may be filled up with great amounts of love and energy. And we feel as if we can do anything. And, in that state, we can...!

I love the analogy of the valve. Great advice. We all must learn to listen to our senses and take time to recharge.
