- Brit is currently working on starting up a new venture that will help get fellow Rotterdammers off the dole by creating art for public spaces. She will be presenting her proposal to the various entities starting in June.
Brit is currently working on her third book, Mosaic: finding your own voice, expected for release in summer 2008. The book's goal is to both inspire and teach readers to find their own styles rather than copying others. This book will be available in hardback or paperback as print-on-demand.
- Brit inspires viewers around the world through her "60 Seconds (to a Better Life)" vidcast. This series ties in with her "DreamQuest" interview series through which inspiring people share their stories. See Brit's blog and Follow Your Dreams.
In May Brit completed a large diptych titled "The Fine Line". (More about the design can be found in Brit's blog by using the website's search field or by viewing the episode on Duality - 9 May 2008 - in Brit's 60 Seconds to a Better Life series). Photos can be found in Brit's portfolio.
- To raise the self-worth and self-confidence of a group of teens at a high school in a "disadvantaged" area of Rotterdam, Brit has spearheaded a (100%-sponsored) project with the message "Create something beautiful out of your life". The teens created 5 artworks. (Tales therefrom can be found in Brit's blog under "Building Dreams").
- Brit will be speaking to a local business club on February 26th about her work and her philosophy of networking to create a win-win situation.
- Four of Brit's works have been chosen for Cutting Edge Textures and Patterns due for release in Spring 2008 by MaoMao Publishing.
