Episode 13 - a retrospective (2002 - 2008)

It seemed like a fun idea to take a walk down memory lane and to show you how Brit's work has evolved since she started her first piece in September 2002. Although the first artwork, Hannah's Rainbow, was a translation of a painting by an artist whose name Brit doesn't know, the rest of her works are her own design. She explains in her book Mosaic: Finding Your Own Voice how she came to her style. Detail images of many of the works can be seen in her book, Reflections: Textural Glass Art

Hannah's Rainbow was a translation of this painting.

Brit's style of "painting with stripes" was inspired by this painting by Edvard Munch, titled Cupid and Psyche, which she first saw in 1989 while studying in Oslo.
